The "Wakyhens" are two sisters, two years apart in age. Both were taught knitting and crocheting by their maternal grandmother when they were between 5 and 7 years of age. This brought out their creative side at an early age. They've spent most of their lives sewing, quilting, painting, crafting, knitting and crocheting. During their school years, they won many awards in various contests, including painting, writing and general crafts like poster-making. Both made their own clothes and after they were married and had families, they made clothes for their children. Over the years the sisters participated in many holiday and craft fairs designing and handmaking the items they sold. The "Wakyhens" hope you enjoy the website and any items you purchase, whether for yourself or as a gift. No two items will ever be exactly the same as they are crafted with love from the hands and hearts of the "Wakyhens".
